STATEMENT
I have always been fascinated in the moment where two things meet, when they mix and become one.
I'm interested in transcendence formed by: the weaving, the intersection and the blurring of borders of the known and unknown. Much of the work is focused around the relation between the states of: waking, sleeping and dreaming. A liminal state where the viewer can enter and become lost. My work often hangs on these in-betweens, where darkness bleeds into light, the abstract becomes something, and particles form waves.
I agree completely with this:
"The first thing is to be quiet. I drop my agenda or expectations, and listen. Then, I soften my gaze. The eyes are agressive, and once you realize they are out there hunting, you can learn to tune them down, and let what is out there come to you. The body knows things way before the brain does... Art is primarily about the development of consciousness, not the development of an object. The object is just a catalyst."
